IAM: Friend or Foe?
At the recent Privacy and Security Conference in Victoria, British Columbia, Simeio’s Asif Savvas participated in a panel on the merits of how identity management and security technologies allow organizations to offer more and more valuable services to the consumer, versus some of the privacy rights they might be giving up. It was a lively discussion, with one of Asif's fellow panelists being the Founding President of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Association.
There was also a very well attended session by our customer ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) who talked about how their Enterprise Identity and Access Management (EIAM) solution is transforming the way they do business internally, with partners, and with their customers.
Oracle, our co-sponsor at the event, filled every seat in the theater during their keynote session as well as during a great panel session on Mobile Privacy and Security, where Oracle’s Bitzer Mobile acquisition was out front and center.
